Leica, Philips on top in digital pathology systems, report says

There are several vendors vying for dominance in the U.S. digital pathology market. According to a new report, Leica Biosystems and Philips are leading this competitive market. European healthcare providers are increasingly using digital pathology, and the technology is now gaining traction in the U.S. 

Due to the rapid growth of this market, leading technology vendors are competing for dominance. According to a KLAS report published last week, Leica Biosystems and Philips are leading this competitive market in digital pathology imaging management systems. 

A KLAS survey was conducted among 55 providers – including hospitals, health systems, academic health centers, and reference labs. A total of 33 of these providers have already adopted digital pathology, and the remaining 21 are in the process of implementing plans to do so soon.
