German MedTech Calls for Early Involvement

German Medical Technology Association (BVMed) called for the early involvement of medical device companies and medical aid service providers in the development of a digital strategy. In a position paper, presented at a specialist forum at the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG), BVMed presented proposals for the BMG’s planned digitization strategy, which the medical technology industry believes are necessary for efficient and beneficial digital healthcare.

“Many individual initiatives and activities for digital healthcare must be combined into a coherent strategy and vigorously promoted. This is the only way to secure Germany as a location for innovation,” says BVMed digital expert Natalie Gladkov. The BVMed position paper on the digital strategy can be downloaded here.
